(In Loving Memory of Linda Shimu)
Story behind the music:
I met Linda Shimu in December of 2012 one Wednesday night prayer meeting. It was my first time at CGBC. She was very friendly and kindly introduced me to different fellowships I can go to. She always had a smile on her face.
After going to CGBC for a while, we started sharing our music with each other, she even asked me and Asa Ma to collaborate and edit one of her songs: “I Ask”. We had a lot of fun doing that. She always encouraged us to give praise and glory to God through our musical talents.
Linda Shimu’s sudden passing was a shock for me and I didn’t know how to handle or express my feeling. When I heard the news I cried and prayed to God for answers. As I prayed more, I felt a sense of peace and urge to write a song in memory of Linda Shimu. Even though she passed away, her music will always leave a legacy to this world which will bring more lives back to God. I want to thank her and appreciate all she had done spreading the gospel and took care of people in need.
May this song comfort our hearts and know that she will “Never Be Forgotten” until we meet again in heaven!

Thank you for expressing your grief in music, a living legacy. I especially enjoyed your story behind the music. God has given you a way to touch people in a personal way through the musical talents He gave you. May you always praise and glorify our Lord Jesus through this beautiful skill!
