Experiencing God’s Grace

Qui Fang Huang

Hello everyone, my name is Qiu Fang Huang. I am glad to be here today to share with you God’s blessing in my life.

I was invited to Chinese Grace Bible Church by my friend in 2015, and it was my first encounter of church life. In 2016, another sister in Christ invited me to her home for a Thanksgiving feast and introduced the gospel to me afterward. I was very touched by the message she shared. The Holy Spirit was working in me, so I accepted Christ as my personal savior and prayed the sinner’s prayer.

Although I said the sinner’s prayer, I was not seeking God whole-heartedly as I was still worshipping my ancestors and idols. It wasn’t until a few months later, in 2017, that I started attending Sunday worship and Sunday school regularly. As I got to know more about God, with the help of brothers and sisters, I have decided to fully put my trust in Him and follow Jesus.

There were bitter and unhappy experiences in the past but in Jesus I now have hope and joy, for I know He is always with me.

I have an unforgettable experience to share with you all. Last year, the wife of my boss (I work as a nanny) asked me to drop her off to work. I forgot to take my cell phone with me as we were rushing out. I had driven her twice to her workplace before, but I still got lost after dropping her off. I circled the area for almost an hour, and after I prayed for guidance, I was able to find my way home. I experienced what the scripture said in Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Nowadays, I take time to read the Bible every day to get close to God, and I am committed to attend Sunday worship and Sunday school regularly. His word comforts and leads me.

I confess that I am a sinner and that Jesus is my only Savior. He died on the cross for my sins and released me from the curse. I am getting baptized today out of obedience but also would like to commit my life to Him. I understand that baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing my faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, as well as my death to sin, the burial of my old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus! Today as I testify to God’s work in my life, may all the praise and glory be unto our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!
