I was born December 27, 2000 into a Christian family. Some of my earthly goals were to have lots of money, or have the world handed to me on a silver plate. I knew about God through Sunday school and VBS. I knew some things about a personal relationship with God. I put off a relationship with God and Jesus because I was put off by the responsibility. Soon I learned of hell. I thought “What if I die tomorrow? What then?” So I decided to accept Jesus as my Savior. I was 7 or 8 when I accepted Jesus and confessed my sins. I was with my dad and my VBS Crew Leader, Matt Wong. After I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior, I made an effort to be kinder and more understanding of others. I also invited one of my friends to come to church. When Jesus came into my life, He met my need for someone to rely on. Anyone can physically die. As time goes on, people can leave you. God and Jesus on the other hand, will never leave nor forsake you as said in Romans 8:38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” I was baptized on Easter Sunday 2014 to make a public proclamation that I am a sinner as in Romans 3:23, and I have accepted Jesus into my heart. I originally became a Christian to save myself from hell. Now I wish to serve God. I did not choose to know God. God chose me to accept Him. Ephesians 2:8: “For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourself; it is the gift of God.” John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and will purify us from all unrighteousness.”
